Frontier War Storytelling Camp 2015
15 - 25 April 2015
at the Aboriginal Tent Embassy,
Old Parliament House Lawns, Canberra
The Camp will be welcoming to anyone and everyone, black and white, with a Frontier Wars story to tell and/or ears to hear.
The invitation to participate has been put out to Aboriginal mob all around Australia and to historians and history teachers too.
The Camp will have formal storytelling sessions which will be advertised. The Camp will also offer lots of opportunities for informal storytelling around multiple campfires and in multiple shade marquees.
Dr Tim Bottoms, author of Conspiracy of Silence - Queensland Killing Times 1840 - 60 (2012), will be a special guest.
With permission of the storyteller, all story telling sessions will be recorded.

Food and beverage will be offered at a volunteeer, by-donation kitchen at the Embassy.
If you are coming from out of town, feel free to camp at the Embassy. Bring your own tent and bedding.
The Camp will culminate with participation in the Anzac eve Peace Vigil at the Australian War Memorial on 24 April and particpation on the Lest We Forget the Frontier Wars Anzac March to the Australian War Memorial on 25 April
Every massacre named in the course of our storytelling will be emblazoned on a placard and carried to the War Memorial on Anzac Day.
Day visitors welcome and school groups too. Bookings helpful but not essential.
